While most companies focus on developing their own products for the market, FMI Chemical concentrates on understanding and equipping our customers.

Working with a jet engine manufacturer customer base that includes Pratt & Whitney and other customers from all over the world, FMI Chemical streamlines the process of purchasing certified aerospace materials. We manufacture, inventory, test, certify, recertify, and repackage compounds into smaller customized sizes and containers that make sense for our customers' applications and production requirements.

FMI chemists test and certify aerospace compounds, including sealants, one- and two-component RTVS, and silicone rubber primers to meet our customers' specifications. By buying in bulk, we are able to provide a 24-hour turnaround on in-stock material. Off-the-shelf products include PWA certified aerospace silicone sealants, encapsulants, and potting compounds. FMI Chemical also typically stocks and controls multiple silicone compound requirements.

Products are delivered in environmentally friendly packaging that is locally landfillable, which eliminates disposal costs for our customers. For optimal results, our chemists filter and de-aerate products and perform tests using machines that are analogous to our customers' equipment. FMI Chemical is one of only two addition reaction silicone rubber manufacturers worldwide to meet stator vane potting compound specifications, a distinction that reflects our innovativeness and commitment to supporting jet engine products and services.
